Greenfields Fire Company was fortunate to receive a $17,290 Assistance to Firefighters (AFG) Grant for the 2009 grant period. This grant will fund the purchase of seven new sets of firefighting turnout gear (coats, pants, boots, helmets) that our most active firefighters will utilize to protect our community.

Fire Chief Scott Haupt received the honorary check from Congressman Tim Holden at the Ruscombmanor Fire Company on Friday April 30th.

The Greenfields Fire Company has been fortunate enough to have applied for, and been successful in obtaining three AFG Grants over the seven year history of the program. We are thankful to Congressman Holden for his efforts on our behalf.

We hope to have our new gear puchased and in service by the end of summer.
